Applications

What we build for you

Sometimes your idea or process does not fit an off-the-shelf package. Then we build software that does exactly what you need: a customer portal where clients handle quotes and invoices themselves, a SaaS platform with subscriptions, a dashboard that brings all your data together or a mobile app for iOS and Android that your customers use every day.

Fit beats fancy.

Custom or off-the-shelf: when should you have software built?

Let's be honest: not every problem calls for custom software. If an off-the-shelf package covers your process well, that is often the fastest and most affordable choice. And sometimes a smart automation between your existing tools is enough. Then we do not build new software, we build the connections.

Custom work becomes interesting when you recognise these signs:

  • Your team retypes the same data into two or three systems
  • A critical process runs on a spreadsheet that only one colleague truly understands
  • Customers email or call about things they could easily handle themselves
  • Your way of working is exactly what sets you apart, and no standard package can keep up
  • You have an idea for a product or service that does not exist yet

So the question is not 'can it be done?', but 'is it worth it?'. We work that out together in a scoping session, where we put your processes, users and systems side by side. Sometimes the answer is a customer portal, sometimes an integration and sometimes simply a better configured CRM. We would rather sell you the right answer than the biggest project.

A spreadsheet that only one colleague understands is not a system. It is a risk with tabs.

Process

How the juices flow

  1. 1

    Discovery & scoping

We map goals, users, processes and existing systems and define the scope and priorities together.

  2. 2

    UX/UI & prototype

User flows, wireframes and a clickable prototype in Figma. That way you test the idea before a single line of code is written.

  3. 3

    Development in sprints

We build in short sprints with a clear kanban board and a working demo after every sprint. You see your product grow.

  4. 4

    Testing & launch

Automated and manual tests, a beta round with real users and publication in the stores or on your own domain.

  5. 5

    Support & iteration

Monitoring, updates and security, plus new features based on data and feedback from your users.

Less, but better.

The mistakes we see most often with apps and portals

Most software projects do not get stuck on technology. They get stuck on choices made too quickly at the start. The classics:

  • Wanting everything in version one. Every extra feature costs build time, test time and maintenance, even if nobody uses it
  • Building without a prototype. A clickable design in Figma quickly shows what you would otherwise only discover after weeks of code
  • Forgetting integrations. A portal that does not talk to your accounting or CRM mostly creates extra work
  • Not owning the code. If the repository is not in your name, you are tied to one party
  • No plan after launch. Operating systems, frameworks and app stores keep changing, so software needs maintenance

And then there is the quiet mistake: assuming users will turn up by themselves. A SaaS platform or app needs a clear landing page and a plan for findability, otherwise it is a shop without a sign. The same goes for your own team with an internal portal: without a short introduction and a good first impression, everyone quietly keeps working in that old spreadsheet.

Take this into account early and you save yourself a lot of explaining, rebuilding and budget later on.

The most expensive feature is the one nobody uses.

Start small. Learn fast.

What an app or portal project asks of you

We talk about money in the proposal. This is about something people often forget: your time and attention. Software is built together, and you will notice.

Expect these roles on your side:

  • A dedicated product owner who makes decisions and guards priorities
  • Feedback after every sprint demo, ideally within a few days
  • A handful of real users for the beta round
  • Copy, images and data that need to go into the product

That sounds like work, and it is. But it is exactly the difference between software your team embraces and software that quietly ends up in a drawer. That is why we keep it manageable: short sprints, a clear kanban board and an MVP as the first goal. Start small, learn, adjust. Just get on with it.

It does not stop at launch. A portal or app often ties in with the rest of your marketing: onboarding emails and funnels that help new users get going, or an AI assistant that handles the first questions. Because we do design, development and marketing under one roof, you do not have to shuttle between agencies and nobody needs to hear your story three times.

Transport & LogisticsRoad transport · Logistics & warehousing · Terminals & inland shipping · Couriers & removals · Fleet & leasing5 audiences
Road transportTransport companies · International hauliers · Refrigerated transport companies +1

For transport companies, international hauliers, refrigerated transport and bulk and tanker transport firms that are looking for drivers and want to show customers what they are good at.

How Apps & portals helps road transport

  • Track and trace for shippers

Shippers see the status of their shipments, loading and unloading times and freight documents themselves, linked to your TMS. Fewer phone calls and more trust.

Can AI process transport orders from emails and PDFs?

Yes, as preparation for your planners' work. AI recognises the loading and delivery addresses, dates, goods and references in an email or PDF, and prepares them as a draft order in your TMS. A planner checks and confirms, especially for unusual orders. Start with the customers who send the most orders and expand if it works well. With AI integrations and API integrations it fits into the systems you already have.

How do you let shippers track their shipments without calling?

Give them insight themselves. In a customer portal shippers see the status per shipment, the expected arrival time and documents such as the consignment note and proof of delivery. An automatic email with a link at departure and delivery makes it even easier. The data comes from your TMS and the on-board computers, so nobody has to keep anything up to date by hand. Your planners are interrupted less often and your customers know where they stand.

Logistics & warehousingLogistics service providers · Warehousing companies · Fulfilment companies +1

For logistics service providers, warehousing and fulfilment companies and freight forwarders that want to win over shippers and web shops and connect their processes.

How Apps & portals helps logistics & warehousing

Can customers see their stock and orders in real time?

Yes, if your WMS can share the data. In a customer portal customers see their stock, open orders, shipping status and returns, without emailing or calling. Through API integrations the data comes straight from your systems, so nobody has to retype anything. Customers can also download documents or pre-notify a delivery themselves. That builds trust with your customers and brings calm to your customer service team.

Terminals & inland shippingContainer terminals · Inland shipping companies · Shipping lines +1

For container terminals, inland shipping companies, shipping lines and port companies with many parties, lots of data and a customer service that has to keep running.

How Apps & portals helps terminals & inland shipping

Can customers automatically get status updates about their containers?

Yes, if the data is available in your terminal or order system. Through API integrations you retrieve the status, and with automated flows you send a message at fixed moments: arrival, delay, release or ready for pick-up. Customers choose whether they see that by email or in a portal. That reduces the number of status questions and gives your customer service time for the exceptions.

Couriers & removalsCourier services · Same-day couriers · Removal companies +1

For courier services, same-day couriers, last-mile delivery firms, removal companies and self-storage businesses that need to be found fast and want to schedule requests straight away.

How Apps & portals helps couriers & removals

How does a courier attract regular business customers?

By showing you understand what they need. A laboratory, garage or web shop has different requirements from a private customer: fixed pick-up times, urgent runs, careful handling or proof of delivery. Give those sectors their own page and make requesting a business account easy. A customer portal with an overview of trips and invoices makes you a regular partner. With LinkedIn Ads and local SEO you reach businesses in your region.

Fleet & leasingTruck and trailer rental companies · Commercial vehicle leasing companies · Fleet management companies +1

For truck and trailer rental companies, commercial vehicle leasing companies, fleet management firms and telematics providers that help transport companies with equipment and insight.

How Apps & portals helps fleet & leasing

  • Fleet portal for customers

Contracts, maintenance planning, damage, fines and documents per vehicle in one overview, so a fleet manager no longer has to dig through emails and folders.

  • UX/UI for a telematics platform

Lots of data, clearly presented, so planners and fleet managers quickly see what needs attention.

How do you explain a fleet management or telematics platform clearly?

Show the screen and explain what it solves. A fleet manager wants to know what it saves them: less searching for paperwork, spotting earlier when maintenance is due, fewer empty kilometres. A short demo video or an interactive tour of the platform says more than a list of features. If the platform itself is hard to use, a critical look at the UX/UI helps. With motion design you turn a dashboard into a story.

How do you make a telematics platform or fleet dashboard user-friendly?

Start with the user's daily tasks, not with all the data you have. A planner wants to see which vehicles need attention, a fleet manager wants costs and maintenance per period. Put exceptions at the top, keep the rest one click away and make sure it works on a tablet or phone too. Test with real users before you build further. With good UX/UI design a dashboard becomes something people open every day.

Machine buildingMachine builders · Equipment manufacturers · OEMs +4

For machine builders, equipment manufacturers, OEMs and suppliers of production lines, robotics and industrial automation.

How Apps & portals helps machine building

Can you build a portal for service, spare parts and manuals?

Yes. In a customer portal customers see the manuals, service history and matching parts per machine, and order spare parts without picking up the phone. Faults can be reported with photos and the serial number, so your service team knows right away what is going on. The portal can pull data from your ERP or service system. That way the customer relationship keeps paying off after the sale, and your inside sales team gets far fewer calls.

Installation servicesInstallation companies · Electrical contractors · HVAC companies +4

For installation companies, electrical contractors, HVAC and heat pump specialists, and installers of solar panels and EV chargers, serving homes and businesses.

How Apps & portals helps installation services

Can business customers view their installations and inspections online?

Yes, in a customer portal. Per site they see which installations are in place, when the last maintenance took place, which inspections are coming up and which reports belong to them. They report faults with photos and location, so your engineer knows what to expect. Data can come from your planning software or service system, depending on what it allows. For facility managers with many buildings that saves a lot of email, and it gives them a good reason to stay with you.

Engineering & consultingEngineering firms · Design engineering companies · Technical consultancies +2

For engineering firms, design engineering companies, technical consultancies, inspection and testing companies and technical staffing agencies.

How Apps & portals helps engineering & consulting

  • Online dashboard for clients

Measurement data, inspection results and project status in an online dashboard, instead of a monthly PDF. Clients see for themselves what is going on and you answer fewer separate questions.

Can clients view measurement data or project status online?

Yes. Instead of a monthly PDF, we build a dashboard or client environment where clients see readings, inspection results, documents and the status of their project. The data comes from your own systems, measuring equipment or spreadsheets, depending on what is available. With permissions per user you decide who sees what. That saves your team questions, and it shows your work as it happens.

Technical wholesaleTechnical wholesalers · Distributors and importers · Component suppliers +3

For technical wholesalers, distributors, importers and suppliers of components, tools, fasteners and industrial supplies.

How Apps & portals helps technical wholesale

  • Ordering portal with invoices and reorders

Customers see their order history, reorder in one click and download invoices and delivery notes themselves. With personal logins and permissions per colleague.

  • Integration with ERP or PIM

Stock, prices and product information come from one source and appear on the site automatically. No double work, and no item that looks in stock online while the shelf is empty.

Can regular customers order, reorder and view invoices themselves?

Yes, in their own customer portal. Customers see their order history, reorder with one click, download invoices and delivery notes and track the status of their deliveries. Several colleagues at one customer can each have their own login with personal permissions, so the buyer approves what the engineer puts in the basket. That saves your inside sales team a lot of 'could you resend that invoice' emails.

How long does it take to build a B2B web shop with an ERP integration?

That mainly depends on your product range, the quality of your product data and the integrations your ERP offers. A shop with a manageable range and a standard integration goes live sooner than one with tens of thousands of items, customer pricing and several warehouses. So we start with a short inventory of data and systems, then build in phases: first ordering for regular customers, then expanding. After the scoping session you receive a realistic planning.

  • Staff app for frontline teams

News, protocols, contact details and a link to your rostering system in one place, on the phone. Nobody misses important information because they never open their email.

How do we keep staff without a fixed workstation properly informed?

Not through an inbox hardly anyone opens. A simple staff app or intranet on the phone brings news, protocols, contact details and links to your rosters together in one place. Use push notifications only for what really matters, or they will be ignored. An app or web app can use sign-in with your existing accounts, so there is no extra password. We start small, with the information colleagues search for most often now.

  • From prototype to MVP

First a clickable prototype, then an MVP you test with patients and care professionals. That way you build what actually gets used.

  • Integrations with existing care systems

Through APIs and, where available, standards such as FHIR, your platform talks to the record and scheduling systems care organisations already use.

What is involved in building a care app or e-health platform?

More than for an ordinary app. You are building for patients and care professionals, with high demands on usability, security and privacy. We start small, with a clickable prototype and an MVP you test with real users. Keep an eye on regulation too: if your software has a medical purpose, the MDR may apply, so have that assessed upfront. For The Digital Clinic we designed and built a platform with a portal and integrations in sprints this way.

Can a care platform connect to existing systems?

Often, yes. Care organisations work with record systems, scheduling software and measuring devices, and your platform only becomes truly useful when it talks to them. Through API integrations and, where available, healthcare standards such as FHIR, we exchange data securely. How much is possible depends on what the other party opens up. We find that out early in the project, so you do not hit a locked door halfway through.

For training institutes, corporate trainers, e-learning providers, language schools and sports federations that train coaches and officials, online or in a mix of classroom and screen.

How Apps & portals helps training & e-learning

Should I have an e-learning platform built or use an existing system?

That depends on what you want. For a few courses with video and a test, an existing learning platform is often fine, and quicker to launch. If you want to sell courses under your own brand, with subscriptions, links to your CRM or a learning path that genuinely works differently, custom development becomes interesting. We compare the options honestly. If we decide to build, we start with an MVP so you learn from real learners quickly.

How do you make sure learners actually finish an online course?

With short lessons, clear progress and the occasional nudge. Nobody enjoys watching an hour-long webinar recording. Work with blocks of a few minutes, a progress bar and a certificate at the end. Reminders by email or push notification when someone has done nothing for a week also help. The UX/UI of the platform is often the difference between a course that gets finished and a login that gets forgotten.

Can I handle enrolments and payments for lessons online?

Yes. Pupils choose a type of lesson, day and time, enrol and pay straight away, monthly by direct debit or with a lesson card. You get an overview per group and no longer have to keep spreadsheets. Often this works with an existing system that we neatly build into your website. Sometimes a custom booking widget or an integration is more practical. We choose what suits the size of your school.

Can clients find their documents and annual accounts in a portal of their own?

  • A dashboard for clients

Clients see outstanding, collected and running cases in one calm overview, with the next step alongside. No more manual reports.

Can debtors pay online or set up a payment plan?

Yes. In a debtor portal someone logs in with their case number, sees what is outstanding and why, and pays straight away by iDEAL. If paying in one go is not possible, they propose a payment plan themselves within the limits you set. That saves phone calls and lowers the threshold to respond. We build the portal securely, in plain language and connected to your collection software, so your staff see every arrangement right away.

How do you give clients up-to-date insight into their cases?

With a dashboard where they see for themselves what is outstanding, what has been collected, which cases are running and what the next step is. With Dashboards & internal tools connected to your own systems, nobody has to compile or email reports by hand anymore. Clients feel better informed, and your account managers spend their time on conversations instead of Excel.

Often that can be done through your advisory software's module, which we fit neatly into your website, or through a custom portal if you want more. Can customers view their policies, make changes and report claims themselves?

Yes, in their own customer environment. Customers see their policies and terms, report a house move or a new registration number themselves and file claims with photos, even in the evening on their phone. How far that goes depends on the integrations your policy administration system offers. Sometimes a full integration makes sense, sometimes a good form that lands neatly in your system is already a big step. Your back office then has more time for customers who really need advice.

  • Onboarding that feels secure

Explain why you ask for something, show how many steps are left and save progress. Every unnecessary step costs sign-ups.

How do you design onboarding that feels secure and is quick?

By explaining why you ask for something. Identification and customer due diligence are mandatory for many financial services, but users drop out if they do not understand why they have to scan their passport. Good UX shows how many steps are left, saves progress and gives clear error messages. Identity verification can be built in through a specialist provider. We test the flow with real users, because every unnecessary step costs sign-ups.

Wealth managementWealth managers · Private banks · Family offices +2

For wealth managers, private banks, family offices, investment funds and investment advisors, serving private and institutional investors.

How Apps & portals helps wealth management

  • Client portal with portfolio overview

Secure login with two-factor authentication, with portfolio, reports and documents in one place. The data comes from your portfolio system or the custodian, where they offer it.

Can clients view their portfolio in their own environment?

Yes. In a secure client portal clients see their portfolio, reports and documents, with two-factor authentication and clear permissions. Data can come through an integration from your portfolio system or the custodian, depending on what they offer. With clear dashboards you make allocation, returns and costs understandable, even for clients who do not think about investing every day. That saves your relationship managers questions and makes your service visible.

What does a client portal for wealth management cost and how long does it take?

That mainly depends on the integrations. If you pull data from your portfolio system or the custodian, what they offer determines a large part of the work. A compact portal with login, documents and an overview is typically live in 6 to 12 weeks. More extensive dashboards and reports are built in phases afterwards. After a scoping session you receive a realistic planning and a tailored proposal, with security and two-factor authentication from the first version.

Lending & financingLenders · Banks · Leasing companies +4

For lenders, leasing companies, crowdfunding platforms, factoring companies and SME financing advisors.

How Apps & portals helps lending & financing

How do you put a financing application online without people dropping out?

By breaking it into manageable steps. First a few simple questions that show right away whether financing is likely, and only then the figures and documents. Let applicants save their progress and continue later, because nobody has their annual accounts to hand right away. In a portal they upload documents and see the status of their application. You keep the overview and your team does not have to chase missing paperwork by phone.

Can the application go straight into our credit or CRM system?

Usually, yes. Through API integrations or automation we pass applications, documents and status updates to your CRM or credit environment. How far that goes depends on what your systems allow. Sometimes a full integration makes sense, sometimes an automatic notification with a neat summary is already a big step forward. We build it with attention to security and logging, so you can always trace who did what.

  • Product UI, better step by step

First a design system with components that work the same everywhere, then screen-by-screen improvements, starting where users get stuck today.

Can you refresh our product UI without turning everything upside down?

Yes, and it is often the wiser choice. Existing users do not like a product they suddenly no longer recognise. We start with a design system: colours, typography and components that work the same everywhere. Then we tackle screen by screen, starting where users get stuck. For Sami we designed both the website and the product interface, so brand and product feel like one whole. With UX/UI design it gets better step by step, without a big shock.

Can a dashboard or app show the data from our device?

Yes. Whether it is sensors, machines or smart devices, we build Dashboards & internal tools and apps that make the data clear for the people who work with it. An operator wants to see different things from a manager or an end customer. We connect through the API or data platform you already use, design the right view per role and make sure alerts arrive when something is actually wrong. Not every number needs to be on screen, only the ones that lead to action.

Apps & platformsApp developers · Online marketplaces · Platform companies +1

For entrepreneurs and companies building an app, online platform or marketplace, from first version to ongoing development, for iOS, Android and the web.

How Apps & portals helps apps & platforms

What determines the cost of an app or platform?

Mainly the amount of logic underneath, not the number of screens. How many types of users are there, with which permissions? Do you need payments, integrations with other systems, notifications or offline use? Will it be a web app or a native mobile app for iOS and Android? And do not forget what comes after launch: updates, hosting and further development. We first define a sharp scope with a clear first version, so you know what you are getting into before anything gets built.

Web app, native app or PWA: which suits our idea?

That depends on how your users will use the product. If it is mainly used behind a laptop, a web app is often quicker and more affordable to build and maintain. If you need push notifications, the camera, location or offline use, or you want to be in the App Store, native becomes more interesting. A PWA sits in between. Often one technical foundation can serve web and mobile together. With a solid API underneath you can always add an app later.

For sports clubs and associations, from football, hockey and tennis to athletics and padel, with boards and volunteers who keep the club running alongside their day jobs.

How Apps & portals helps clubs & associations

Does a club need its own app?

Not always. For many clubs a good mobile website already does what is needed. An app of your own becomes interesting when members actually arrange things in it: signing off for a match, booking a court, getting a push notification when a game is cancelled or showing a digital membership card. Then we build a member portal or app that connects to your membership administration. We give honest advice, because an app nobody opens is mainly a cost item with a nice icon.

Gyms & fitnessGyms · Fitness clubs · Boutique fitness studios +3

For gyms, fitness clubs, boutique studios, personal trainers and yoga, pilates and CrossFit locations that want more trial sessions and loyal members.

How Apps & portals helps gyms & fitness

  • A member app in your own style

Booking, check-in, workout plans and your membership in one app with your own logo and colours, connected to the membership software you already use.

Is an app of your own worthwhile for a gym?

Sometimes. A lot of gym booking software already offers an app you can brand in your own style, and that is often a fine start. A custom member app becomes interesting when you want to offer something the standard app cannot, such as your own training plans, challenges or a loyalty programme. We first look at what your software can already do, so you do not pay for something you already have.

Events & competitionsRunning events · Cycling sportives · Tournament organisers +1

For organisers of sports events, running races, tournaments, cycling races and sporty public events, from a local run to an international tournament.

How Apps & portals helps events & competitions

  • An event app with live results

Bib number, schedule, course map and live results on participants' and spectators' phones, connected to your timing provider where possible.

Does our event need its own app?

Often not. A good mobile website with schedule, course and results does what most events need, and nobody has to download it. An app becomes interesting with live participant tracking, push notifications on the day itself or an event that grows every year. We give honest advice, because an app that is used one day a year has to really add something on that day.

Sports media & platformsSports media companies · Video and streaming platforms · Sports apps +3

For sports media companies, video and streaming platforms, sports apps, podcasts and magazines, esports organisations and sports brands with their own channel, and the product and editorial teams that improve them every day.

How Apps & portals helps sports media & platforms

How do you design a sports platform that coaches, players and fans all understand?

By looking at what each role comes to do. A coach wants to analyse footage quickly, a player wants to see their own actions again and a fan just wants to watch. That calls for clear routes, smart defaults and an interface that also works on a phone on the sidelines. For TeamTV we designed the UI/UX of the renewed web app, where streaming, analysing and publishing come together. With UX/UI design we test the key steps with real users before anything gets built.

How does a sports platform or app pay for itself?

There are a few common models, and a combination often works best. Subscriptions for clubs or individual users, a free basic version with paid extras, or space for partners and advertisers. Which fits depends on who experiences the value and who is willing to pay, and those are not always the same people. We build the platform so you can work with different plans, trial periods and payment methods, and adjust as soon as you see what catches on.

Federations & bodiesSports federations · Municipal sports companies · Sports venues +1

For sports federations, governing bodies, umbrella organisations, municipal sports companies and foundations that promote sport and physical activity.

How Apps & portals helps federations & bodies

  • Courses and licences in one portal

Coaches and officials sign up for courses, follow learning materials and see when their licence expires, with an automatic reminder in good time.

Can a federation manage courses and licences digitally?

Yes. In a portal coaches and officials sign up for courses, follow learning materials and see which licences or refresher training they still need. Clubs see in one overview who has completed what. That saves the federation office a lot of manual work and spreadsheets. We build that kind of portal connected to your membership administration, with roles and permissions, so everyone only sees what is meant for them. Automatic reminders make sure an expired licence is not discovered on match day.

Having a web app, customer portal or mobile app built: the smart way

Web app, portal or mobile app: what do you need?

Not every idea belongs in the App Store. A web app runs in the browser, works on any device and is ideal for portals, dashboards and SaaS platforms where people sit behind a laptop. A mobile app for iOS and Android is strong when you want to reach users on the go: with push notifications, camera, location or offline use. A Progressive Web App (PWA) sits in between. That is a web app you add to your home screen and that feels like an app.

So we do not start with technology, but with a simple question: what do your users need to do, and how often do they do it? Based on that we choose the form that delivers the most for your budget. Often the smartest route is a web app as the foundation, with a mobile app later on the same backend and database. Walk first, then run. And never build an app just because your competitor has one.

What can you have built?

In short: software that solves a concrete problem. Not a toy, a tool. A selection of what we build:

  • Customer portals where clients accept quotes, download invoices and track orders
  • Quote and invoicing portals that talk to your accounting
  • SaaS platforms with subscriptions, teams and user management
  • Mobile apps for iOS and Android, from service app to community
  • Dashboards and internal tools that speed up processes
  • Member and loyalty portals for associations, federations and brands

Every project is custom, but we do not reinvent the wheel each time. Login, roles and permissions, payments, notifications and integrations are built on proven building blocks. That saves time and money, which we would rather spend on the part that sets you apart. Because that is what counts: nobody chooses your portal for its lovely login screen.

Modern technology that stays yours

We build with a modern, widely supported stack. Not because it is trendy, but because it keeps your product fast and secure and stops you being locked in to one agency. Including us:

  • Next.js, React and TypeScript for web apps and portals
  • Supabase and PostgreSQL for database, authentication and storage
  • React Native with Expo or Flutter for iOS and Android
  • Stripe and Mollie for payments and subscriptions
  • Vercel and Cloudflare for fast, scalable hosting

The source code lives in a repository you own, and we document the architecture. Want to extend, scale or bring in your own development team later? You can. Security and privacy are not bolted on afterwards: we work with roles and permissions, encrypted connections and EU hosting where possible, in line with the GDPR. Some call that future-proof. We call it doing the job properly.

Integrations with your existing systems

An app or portal only becomes truly valuable when it works with what you already have. Otherwise you are just adding another island, and you probably have enough of those. We connect with CRM and ERP packages such as Odoo, HubSpot, Teamleader and Pipedrive, with accounting software such as Exact Online and with web shops, payment providers and marketing tools.

We do that with custom API integrations and webhooks, or with automation platforms such as Make and n8n when that is faster and more cost-effective. Customer data, orders, invoices and status updates then move between your systems by themselves. No double typing, fewer errors and always up-to-date data. On top of that we can build in AI features, such as smart search, automatic summaries or an assistant that answers user questions. That way your software grows with your organisation, instead of your organisation having to adapt to your software.

How we work: from MVP to continuous development

Software projects go wrong when months of building go by without anyone seeing anything. That is why we work agile, in short sprints, with a clear kanban board where you can always see what is happening. After every sprint you get a working demo. So you give feedback early and we adjust course together, instead of you getting a surprise at the end.

We often advise starting with an MVP: the smallest version that serves real users. You validate your idea quickly and only invest further once you know it works. Testing is continuous, with automated tests, manual checks and a beta round with real users. After launch, in the browser or in the App Store and Google Play, we stay on as your partner for maintenance, security, monitoring and new features. One compact team for design, development and support. No relay race between three parties, so nothing gets lost in translation.

Web Apps, Portals & Apps: 12 answers to the questions we get most.

Martijn RoefsNoud van der StappenAlexander KoselkaMaud BouwmansQuestion not listed?
Martijn, Noud and the rest are happy to help.

How much does it cost to develop a web app or app?

It depends on functionality, the number of screens, integrations and platforms. A compact portal or MVP with a defined scope starts at a few thousand euros; extensive platforms with many integrations, roles and a mobile app require a larger budget, often phased in sprints. Our configurator at letsgo.m7branding.com shows indicative prices; after a scoping session you receive a tailored proposal.

How long does it take to develop an app or portal?

An MVP or compact portal typically goes live in 6 to 12 weeks. More extensive platforms and apps are built in phases: after the first release we keep developing in sprints based on feedback and data. In the scoping session we create a realistic timeline.

Web app, native app or PWA: which should I choose?

A web app is ideal for portals, dashboards and SaaS: one version for all devices, without app stores. A mobile app is the right choice if you need push notifications, camera, location, offline use or a spot on your customer's home screen. A PWA is a middle ground for those who want an app-like feel quickly and affordably. We advise based on your users and goals.

React Native or Flutter: which is better?

Both are excellent frameworks for building iOS and Android apps from one codebase. React Native with Expo is strong if you also have a web app in React or Next.js, because knowledge and code can be partly shared. Flutter excels at highly custom interfaces and animations. We choose based on your product, team and future plans.

Do I own the source code and the data?

Yes. The source code goes into a repository you own and the data lives in a database in your name. So you can always continue development, even with another team. We include documentation, so any handover goes smoothly.

Do you publish the app in the App Store and Google Play?

Yes. We handle the full publication: store copy, screenshots, privacy labels, test builds via TestFlight and the review by Apple and Google. The app lives on your own Apple Developer and Google Play Console accounts, so it is yours. We help you set up those accounts.

Can the software connect to Odoo, HubSpot or Exact Online?

Yes. We connect with virtually any system that has an API, such as Odoo, HubSpot, Exact Online, Teamleader, Pipedrive, Shopify and Mollie. Depending on volume and complexity we build a custom integration or use Make or n8n.

Is a portal or app secure and GDPR-compliant?

We build in security and privacy from the design stage: encrypted connections, roles and permissions, two-factor authentication, logging and EU hosting where possible. We help think through data minimisation and data processing agreements, so your product is in line with the GDPR. For legal advice we refer you to a specialist.

What is an MVP and why should I start with one?

An MVP (minimum viable product) is the smallest version of your product that serves real users. You validate your idea quickly, learn what users really want and only invest further once you know it works. We build an MVP on the same stack as a full product, so you can simply keep building afterwards.

What happens after launch?

Software needs maintenance: framework and operating system updates, security, monitoring and hosting. With a support and maintenance agreement we take care of that, with room for further development on top. Costs depend on the size of your product and how much you want to keep building.

Can you build in payments and subscriptions?

Yes. Via Stripe or Mollie we build in one-off payments, subscriptions, trial periods, SEPA direct debit and automatic invoices, with iDEAL, credit card and other popular methods. For digital purchases in mobile apps we take Apple's and Google's rules into account.

How does the collaboration work during the project?

You have a dedicated point of contact and access to a kanban board where you follow progress. We work in short sprints and show a working demo after each one. That way you give feedback early, we adjust priorities together and you always know where you stand.
