You can spend ages debating which button works better. Or you simply let a few users try it. With usability tests on prototypes or live products we quickly discover what works and what does not, and improve the design based on real behaviour.
Test before it gets expensive
We prefer to test early, on a clickable prototype in Figma. A change in a design takes a few hours, the same change in a built app often takes days. We set realistic tasks, such as 'request a quote' or 'change your subscription', and watch how participants complete them. Thinking aloud, so we also hear why they do something.
On site, remote or unmoderated
Depending on your audience we test at our office, at your location or remotely via a video call. For quick checks we use unmoderated tests and short questionnaires. After each round you get the key findings with clips and concrete improvements, which we work straight into the design.
Why it works
Why it works.
Clarity, fast
A few tests say more than long discussions.
Cheaper improvements
Fix problems in the design, not in the code.
More user-friendly
A product people understand without explanation.
Tools & platforms
How many test participants do you need?
For a usability test, often fewer than you think. With a handful of participants per audience you already see most recurring problems. Better a few small test rounds with improvements in between than one big test at the end.
Can you also test an existing website or app?
Yes. That is actually a good starting point for a redesign or further development. You immediately see where users drop off today, which shows what to tackle first.
Who finds the test participants?
We do that together. Existing customers or members are often the best participants, and you can approach them most easily. We draw up the selection criteria, schedule the sessions and handle the rest.
Today may be the day to meet your strategic partner.
