KDS: a sharp brand for the die-cutting specialist

KDS makes cutting dies and everything that goes with them, from die to separation set, for companies that turn cardboard into packaging. The brand had to show how sharply KDS works. And customers needed an easier way to request quotes and handle things online.

We developed the branding and carried it through to print and a new website in Webflow. Dark and clean, with red as the accent. The products are laid out clearly under the three core skills of cutting, stripping and separating, from cutting die to lower separator.

A scroll animation shows the work process: from cardboard and contours to pushing out the waste and separating the packaging. FAQs about delivery times, file types and modifications answer the first questions, and anyone who would rather talk leaves their number and gets a call back.

We also built a quotation portal where KDS customers log in. A calculation request runs in steps: first your details and your request, then the calculation data. For each part you enter the article codes, from cutting die and spare knives to stripping board and crease matrix, with the board and knife format, the line lengths in millimetres, the steel height and the complexity.

Behind the scenes, the portal works it out based on an extensive price sheet with customer codes. In their dashboard, customers see their requests and confirm an order, after which an email with a PDF follows automatically. KDS now has a sharp brand, print in the same style, a no-nonsense website and a portal that makes complex calculations simple.
